Back in March we read the above and heard the same story broadcast repeatedly. It’s not true. I wrote to the Scottish Retail Consortium for a breakdown of the figures in their UK-wide survey to seek confirmation of the nine-a-day figure for Scotland. Yesterday I received this: They just made it up!
