Prior to the start of January meeting, Mrs Williams and Mrs Staid expressed extreme  concern to the Committee regarding the flooding of Burnside road and the back gardens of houses in Lein road.  They, and other residents feel that they are entitled to some form of protection against in undulation.  The Committee said that it is aware of the flooding, which is historical.  Support was offered, and proposals made that random sample tests should be taken to ascertain if there is any pollution in the water.  The Chair thanked the Ladies for bringing the matter to the Committee’s attention. The matter of speed limits though the village was raised again.  The 30 mph limit is being ignored by many drivers, all residents are reminded that the Village was never designed for modern vehicles and many places have no footpaths, residents are asked to proceed with caution. The local Police have asked that anyone witnessing any acts of speeding (which equates to dangerous driving)
should be reported to them and it  will be investigated.

The question of the Car Park being resurfaced was raised and Clr Coutts  confirmed that this was indeed going to happen.

Re-cycling; the waste paper bank is emptied weekly, which demonstrates an excellent response from the Communities.  M Nunns was thanked for opening and closing the Waste Paper container on a daily basis.
A questionnaire has been distributed throughout the villages regarding the collection of re-cyclable material from the elderly and disabled.
The Secretary reported that the Committee are liable to replace the Spence bench and plaque, as it was a gift to the Village. Suggestions included that Moray Council might provide a bench, and the committee fund a replacement plaque.
A letter has been received from the Scottish Office inviting the committee to attend a site visit at Corbiewells on the 17th Feb.  This was in response to a letter sent by the Committee in support of Moray Council rejection of the proposed new build.

Beech trees at Lilac cottage (INNES Road) have been felled.  However it appears that there has been a more detailed plan submitted and this was allowed for.

Dog fouling on the Viaduct walk is on the increase and the state of the fencing was in a dangerous state and Moray Council have been asked to investigate.

David Bremner is trying to build a community web site but requires some support from the same.

The hedges in the Wyndaes are overhanging the road. The Secretary is to write to the householders asking for them to be cut.

Derek Hendersons brother is to be asked to give an estimate for re-rendering the Park Wall.

Car boot sales will start in April, the secretary has asked for a rota of volunteers to help organize and assist in the smooth operation of this fund raising event.
